Continuing Education

Missouri License Renewal
The following information was taken from the Code of State Regulations:
(1) Each licensee who holds a license pursuant to sections 324.240 to 324.275, RSMO shall complete, during the two (2)-year license period prior to renewal, as a condition of the license renewal, twelve (12) clock hours of continuing education relevant to the practice of massage therapy which shall include universal precautions and CPR.
(2) Licensees shall maintain evidence of their course particiption or course completion for a period of at least six (6) years. Such evidence must be submitted upon request by the board.

 

CPR (3.5 hours CEU)
Participants will learn adult CPR & Universal Precautions from an American Red Cross instructor. This class has been updated with new procedures.

HOT STONE MASSAGE
(7 hours CEU)

Work Less, Save Your Hands, Help Clients Relax


Participants will be learning how to incorporate hot stones with massage therapy. Some of the topics of the class are benefits, contraindications, preparing the stones, and how to use simple techniques with the stones. Aslo includes SOAP charting. One day class 9am-5pm

MASSAGE CUPPING
(14 hours CEU)
New! Popular with Movie Stars!

Participants will be introduced to the theory and practical application in which heated cups or vacuum pump are used to create suction. Massage therapists will be applying oil to allow cups to slide around, thus releasing tension and improving circulation. Instructor: Debbie Flaugher, LMT, RN
